Exception Firefox extension “NoScript”

Note

This step is displayed in case the “NoScript” extension is installed in your Firefox browser. Otherwise, the setup assistant will guide you directly to the dialog for setting up a card reader.

The Firefox extension NoScript may prohibit the start of the online identification.

Enhance NoScript settings

The configuration of this extension may block authentication requests from being passed on to AusweisApp2. In this case, you have to add a system rule in the NoScript settings to allow Internet pages to call the AusweisApp2 as a local eID client.

Configure NoScript extension rule

  1. Open Add-ons management in your Firefox browser and go to Settings for NoScript.

  2. Select tab “Advanced” and “ABE”.

  3. Select “System” from the set of rules and enter e.g. this rule (siehe figure below):

    Site 127.0.0.1:24727/eID-Client

  4. Click “OK” at the bottom on the right to close the dialog page NoScript settings.
